Get to know me!
A compassionate person living in the Portland Metro Area in Oregon where I spent most of my life exploring and enjoying my surroundings and daily life.
Sports has been a constant in my life having played soccer, basketball, and track & field as a youngster but found my passion swimming and playing tennis in high school and as a walk on with the University of Portland women's rowing team. Being a part of a team has helped me grow as a person as well as enhanced my understanding of how to help others in need.
I am passionate about traveling and exploring the outdoors wherever I go. I spent two months in 2019 visiting several countries and experiencing their culture and traditions in Europe.
The COVID-19 pandemic created unique challenges for everyone during my final year and a half of college with opportunities and developing new skills. Adapting to meeting and collaborating through collaboration tools like Microsoft teams and zoom, from a remote location. This new way of working also assisted in honing my organizing and preparation skills.

My senior capstone team project was to build a website that teaches children with disabilities another form of communication using Morse Code. My role in the team was to design of the website user interface and collaborate with our client, addressing what she wanted in the project. Out of the seven Computer Science Capstone Projects, my team was awarded the most outstanding senior project for the class of 2021.
As a graduate from the University of Portland with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Communications; my goal is to work in User Experience Design where I can apply my technical background in understanding and making recommendations for making products more user friendly. My Communications Minor also plays a role in working with people to conduct interviews, understand and address their pain points to create personas needed to develop products and services.
I have received my Professional Certification in UX/UI Design from the University of California, Berkeley Extension in 2023 where I worked with other young designers.
